Midwest Military Outreach (MMO) is a proud sponsor of the Illinois Warrior Summit at Soldier Field in Chicago on August 12, 2013!  MMO connects Service Members, Veterans and their families to the resources they need to transition to productive civilian life.  MMO’s offices are located in the historic Cedar Rapids, Iowa Veterans Memorial Building.

Midwest Military Outreach was the connecting agent working with multiple corporate partners to achieve Level 4 contributor status at the 2013 Illinois Warrior Summit.  MMO’s corporate partners for this event include: ConAgra Foods and Fashion Delivers who donated in-kind product, The Salvation Army and JM Swank who donated warehouse space to store product, and CH Robinson Trucking, JRRW Transport and Penske Trucking who donated the transportation.

MMO was able to connect the right corporate partners and private sector logistics experts to achieve 29,000 pounds of in-kind donated product with a total retail value of over $250,000.00 for the 10,000  Service Members, Veterans and their families attending the 2013 Illinois Warrior Summit at Soldier Field.

MMO worked closely with Robert Malnik, Founder/Chairman of the Illinois Supporting All Veterans Equally (I-SAVE) Foundation, who coordinated the details for the Illinois Warrior Summit.  Partners to make this event a success from the Soldier Field end include: US Department of Veterans Affairs, Chicago Park District and World Sport Chicago.

The 2013 Illinois Warrior Summit connects 10,000 Service Members, Veterans and their families of the Midwest Region with resources in the areas of: benefits, education, employment, housing, legal, disabilities, health, family, children services and faith based organizational opportunities. Over 200 organizations will be present and working together to unite the community and create awareness of resources that promote successful transition to civilian life.

Charlotte 2013 Sponsor Levels 7213[1][1]

Hello All,

I wanted to update you on how the entertainment and speakers are lining up for our October 5th event at the Balantyne in Charlotte, NC.

Our Key note speaker will be Ken Robinson. Bio Attached and link to intro video below

Our MC will Kim Dozier author of Breathing the Fire. She is a correspondent for the Associated Press, covering intelligence and counter-terrorism. She was stationed in Bagdad as the chief reporter in Iraq for CBS News for nearly three years prior to being critically wounded on May 29, 2006 in a IED explosionhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberly_Dozier
Our SEAL Community family speaker will be Suzanne Vogel who founded NSW Kids and heads up our kids program.http://nswkids.org/staff.html
We are also planning on having a wonderful little girl whose father was a SEAL killed in action sing our national anthem
As for entertainment
We will have some Navy SEALs parachute into the Balantyne golf course carrying a massive US flag and large individual banner for our sponsor. Many of the Charlotte news agencies will be present so this will be great exposure for our key sponsor.Along with the USO who will be there to perform we will have the band Badhorse a well known country band with a song currently in the charts. Here is a link to a great song they have about deployed fathers.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8N733yvJdc&feature=em-share_video_user

John David Kahn has also agreed to perform his hit song American Heart.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIlqy8siV5g
I am pretty excited about the lineup. We have a comprehensive event website being put together as we speak and will have done hopefully by the end of the week.
I have also attached the Save the Date Flyer and the Sponsorship Flyer.
Thank you all for your participation and please forward this and all other collateral on to anyone you think may want to get involved or attend.

Stephanie’s Garter Holster – Coming Soon!

Kevin Jackson and Joe the Plumber team up with the “Colorado Buck” show to help combat wounded

Shout out for corporate sponsers interested in funding and product placement on the popular “Colorado Buck” Hunting show.  They will be filming a combat wounded veteran on an Elk Hunt with these two conservative clowns!  Its going to be a great time for a deserving veteran, but we need your help to meet all expenses. In kind support for air travel, needed as well!

Remember when I booked Chris Kyle on an Elk Hunt a few months before his murder? He told me afterwards it truly inspired him to continue helping vets through these types of recreational activities and we know thats exactly what he was doing when he died.  Hunting trips are LIFE affirming and I will keep up the work to find funding for them, in Chris’memory.

YOU can help heal a hero AND get your company brand or product seen by millions of viewers on TV!

Now thats a PR plan everyone should get behind!

Shooting with SOF, Dive Care & SOFIC

Jill, Kris Ford and Stephanie Hayden on our first SCUBA dive ever! Thank you DIVE CARE!
Jill, Kris Ford and Stephanie Hayden on our first SCUBA dive ever! Thank you DIVE CARE!

What a week!

Just got back from a week of fun in the sun, shooting big girl toys and getting Scuba certified with Stephanie Hayden and Kris Ford of Red Jacket Firearms.  We started off at the Shooting with SOF event where a good time was had by all who enjoy shooting the latest/greatest military and LEO firearms….  Always followed by a great party!  The next day we started our Scuba certification training with Dive Care and A.O. in St. Pete….  Always followed by a good party!  Proceeded to drink lots of water and get rest for two full days of diving.  First open water was in a beautiful crystal clear freshwater river.  Second day was Gulf of Mexico, down to approx. 50 ft where we got to have fun spearfishing and diving among Goliath Grouper and Hog fish, among others.  Then….followed by a great party!

Made my way to the BAD MONKEY in Ybor for a great night at Gen. Scott’s fine drinking establishment and managed to get to SOFIC for the last two days.   It’s always fun to watch this trade show bring together so many warriors.  Fondly reminding me of a reunion in progress.  Got to hang and do business with some of the best of the best of the best in the business.  Looking forward to bringing you more pictures and information on upcoming sponsor opportunities with great media REACH.   Ciao for now!

A Salute to the Sponsors of “Warrior Appreciation Night – Shot Show 2012”

                                                  WHAT A NIGHT!

A heartfelt salute to the sponsors and volunteers for the “Warrior Appreciation Night” held at Gordon Biersch on Thursday, Jan. 19th, 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.  Just under $25,000 was raised for  5 fantastic non profit organizations!  All the proceeds will directly benefit veterans, law enforcement and active duty military families.  We are already planning next years event  and I expect that our wonderful sponsors and donors will come through again.  So, please… spend your money with these companies when you need a product or service this year!

Description: Description: WAN2012B_V3

~ Special thanks to SGM Mark Christianson, Mark Quinn and Matt Burkett. I know many others had their hands in this event and it could not have been done without you all!~

I’m looking forward to having a big role in next years event, so contact me with your sponsorships, donations, ideas and requests. Lets double the donations next year!

God Bless you all in 2012 and thank you from Patriot Promotions and the US Veteran Corps!
