Colorado Freedom Shoot 2014 was the largest firearms event in the state!

SHOOTING SPORTS NEWS: 2ND ANNUAL FREEDOM SHOOT IN COLORADO – 2014

Wrap up on event held June 28th & 29th, 2014 at the Pawnee Sportsman’s Center in Brigsdale, Co. hosted by Victory Defense

contact@victorydefense.com

(Brigsdale, Co.) – 2nd Annual Colorado Freedom Shoot was a huge success with over $12,000 in cash and prizes to competitors!

Pawnee Sportsmen’s Center had their largest event ever and is already planning for the 3rd Annual Colorado Freedom Shoot. There were 130 Shooters participating in the competitions on Saturday and Sunday, and approximately 500 people in attendance.

Over $12,000 in prizes were given away, including a Springfield XD, a Rifle by Bravo4 Tactical Armory from CA. and Rifle by VDCA Armory LLC in CO.

Hundreds of photos were taken on the Red Carpet and we posted about 350+ to the Facebook album, vendors have many up as well. Everyone, vendors, sponsors, shooters and families reported having a tremendous time and agreed it was well worth the haul and partnership of being involved.

Multiple thousands of full auto rounds went down range thanks to Machine Gun Tours. Colorado 2A had a booth and the Colorado Moms Against Gun Control representatives competed in several events.

Notable politicians like Julie Marie Shepherd, running for the District 40 seat against a rubber stamping incumbent for gun control attended. She gave the welcome speech from the back of a Deuce and a half, loaded with ammo. (See photos)

John Cooke, the current Weld County Sheriff who is also running for State Office, attended on Sunday and had his photo snapped with supporters on the Red Carpet. (See photos)

The beautiful Canadian Tac Girl, Valene Valhalla, competed in her very first competitions and had a blast! She enjoyed signing gear and calendars for the admiring attendees.

Jim Erwin, Former Delta Forces & Army Sniper, attended again for the 2nd year. One of his fun photos on the Red Carpet has already been seen over 10,500 times! Veterans and active duty service members from 10th & 19th SFG attended as well.

CorBon Ammunition gave a Ballistic Gel Demo that amazed many and provided some eye popping results from the crowd when they were offered to shoot the gel with their own Personal Defense ammo and it FAILED the test!

The night vision shoot & demo AND the Biden Challenge once again was one of the most talked about contributions of the whole event.

Hundreds left Pawnee Sportsman Center that weekend with smiles that likely lasted the whole week! With that fact and more educated on 2nd Amendment issues, the 3rd Annual Freedom Shoot is bound to be fantastic!

Special thanks to event organizer, JJ Sutton, C.P.S., C.M.A.S.

2A supporters dumping Microsoft 365, One Drive, Outlook, and more!

Thank you to writer, Steve Johnson for evaluating all policies and giving us a heads up on the Microsoft products which I will be cancelling as of this moment!

Since 2009 Microsoft’s Code of Conduct has been applied to more and more of their online service. If a service is covered by this Code of Conduct, users of it are prohibited from using it in  “any way that promotes or facilitates the sale of ammunition and firearms” (See bullet point #13).

Almost all of Microsoft’s online services are by now covered under this “Code of Conduct”. These services include Windows Live, Office 365, Microsoft Sharepoint, Bing.com, Outlook.com, Windows OneDrive, Exchange Online, MSN and a number of other services.

The only major Microsoft services this does not apply to is, at the time of this blog post, Skype, Microsoft Azure and XBox Live. I expect Skype will eventually fall under the Code of Conduct.

Windows OneDrive, formally known as Microsoft SkyDrive, is built into Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8 for Phones and Windows 8 for Tablets. If you work in the gun industry you should avoid these products. You could wake up one morning to find your account terminated and all your emails, contacts, calendar etc. deleted.

Windows Live powers a number of Microsoft services including Microsoft’s cloud email and cloud Office suite. Windows Live, Outlook.com and Exchange Online power many large institutions including colleges and high schools. Don’t use any Microsoft-hosted email systems to buy or sell guns, unless you are willing to risk getting kicked out of college (especially if you have signed documents agreeing to abide by Microsofts Terms of Use)

If you use Microsoft Office in your gun business, make sure you do not use the Office 365 service to share business-related files.

Here at TFB the only Microsoft service we use is Skype. If Microsoft bans gun-related business over Skype, we will most likely switch to Google Hangouts.

It is sad to think that the Gun Club @ Microsoft was once a relatively large club. Point and Click no more

Frank Proctor’s “Way of the Gun” Training

Way of the Gun – Frank Proctor

I haven’t represented a shooter in a long time, but how could I say no to Frank Proctor?  He has 13 episodes of Trigger Time TV on the horizon and the potential for great sponsor ROI and R&D.

Not only does he have a stellar military background as Army SF, but he has successfully transitioned his military training into competitive shooting.  With little time on the circuit, Frank achieved the rank of Grand Master in LTD div. and is moving into 3 Gun and other shooting sports.  You can find him teaching his unique training techniques for  SF guys, open classes for us newbies and seasoned competitive shooters.  He is a busy guy often be found on the range, at his 200 acre range facility with 12 pistol bays called, WAY OF THE GUN,  just outside Talladega, Al.

Frank is a soft spoken, humble,  southern gentleman who is going to be seen on 13 episodes on one of our favorite shooting shows next season.  We are priming him for a long career of representation for the companies he believes in.   Check out his website and the videos below!

“Friends and Patriots” do protect innocent Federal Employees!

BROWNSVILLE — A federal judge granted a government motion to drop all charges against a special agent with the Office of Inspector General under the Department of Homeland Security based in McAllen, court records show.

U.S. District Judge Andrew S. Hanen earlier this month signed an order to drop, with prejudice, charges of conspiracy to falsify reports and falsifying reports against Marco Rodriguez, 41, of Mission.

“Marco steadfastly maintained his innocence in the face of immense pressure from the federal government,” said Michael Rodriguez, Marco Rodriguez’s attorney. “This dismissal is the first step in returning Marco’s good name, which he made for himself over 16 years of exemplary service as a federal agent.”

Marco Rodriguez’s other lawyer, Darrell L. Fun, praised the ruling.

“It was a long and difficult fight for justice in Marco’s case, but in the end the government did the right thing and justice prevailed,” Fun said.

The agent was charged along with his former supervisor, Eugenio Pedraza, 49, of McAllen, who was in charge of the McAllen office of the DHS-OIG.

Pedraza, who is scheduled for trial in March 2014, has pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of falsifying federal investigation reports in the wake of an internal FBI investigation and a Washington, D.C.-area grand jury indictment. Pedraza was Rodriguez’s supervisor in the McAllen office of the DHS self-investigative wing, and both men were indicted in early April in Brownsville.

The 31-page indictment names seven cases involving U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Border Patrol officials who were suspected of helping drug and human smuggling operations working ports of entry in Brownsville and Pharr.

The Justice Department alleges the scheme was meant to hide Pedraza’s failure to ensure investigations were conducted thoroughly and properly.

Michael Rodriguez said since the charges against his client were dropped with prejudice, federal prosecutors cannot re-file them.

“A dismissal with prejudice prevents federal prosecutors from re-filing the same charges and is a complete and total vindication of Rodriguez,” Michael Rodriguez said.

Stephanie’s Garter Holster – Coming Soon!

Kevin Jackson and Joe the Plumber team up with the “Colorado Buck” show to help combat wounded

Shout out for corporate sponsers interested in funding and product placement on the popular “Colorado Buck” Hunting show.  They will be filming a combat wounded veteran on an Elk Hunt with these two conservative clowns!  Its going to be a great time for a deserving veteran, but we need your help to meet all expenses. In kind support for air travel, needed as well!

Remember when I booked Chris Kyle on an Elk Hunt a few months before his murder? He told me afterwards it truly inspired him to continue helping vets through these types of recreational activities and we know thats exactly what he was doing when he died.  Hunting trips are LIFE affirming and I will keep up the work to find funding for them, in Chris’memory.

YOU can help heal a hero AND get your company brand or product seen by millions of viewers on TV!

Now thats a PR plan everyone should get behind!
